CHENNAI: The convention of the State Women Fish Workers Federation will take place on July 2. The district-level committees of Chennai and Tiruvallur, formed at a meeting of 140 women fish workers in the city on Saturday, would support the State-level meet. Among the resolutions adopted in the day’s meeting was that the State government should recognise women fish workers as workers in its policies, legislations and programmes.
