GEFONT has condemned recently declared Industrial policy claiming it as anti-worker. Issuing a press communiqué by its central office, GEFONT mentioned that the policy recently issued by the Ministry of Industry in totality anti-worker.

“The policy seems to prepare as per employers wish, without consulting trade unions. The intention of “No work-No Pay” mentioned in the policy seems to impose all burdens over workers if the business is disturbed by the political strike and similar types of incidents.”

GEFONT has also condemned intention to established SEZ by curbing workers rights.

The Government has just issued Industrial policy, which has unnecessarily included a phrase- “No-work, No pay” policy will be followed as prescribed by law. The govt didn’t involve trade unions in the process.
