Triumph Strikers Made Strike Pants in the Ministry of Labour, Thailand

The first Workers’ pants are coming to the Market. The Triumph Thailand workers, who have occupied the ground floor of the Ministry of Labour Building in Bangkok since last week is now, with five different set of machines, starting to produce their pants, they have produced many other stuffs for sale as well, such as small purses, blankets, and a newly workers’ Strike Pant’. They are going to produce swim wear soon and workers are still in high spirit in struggle even though it has been nearly four months of their protest.

Yesterday, they have been on the first hearing at the labour court, the legal case that the company has filed to ask for the court’s permission to dismiss 16 union committees. Five committee members have agreed to take company offered for 3 months (more) compensation, but the rest are still pursuing the case for the right for reinstatement.
